The Improv at Harveys is always good for laughs. Host Howie Nave from KRLT 93.9 keeps the fun rolling with new comics each week for your enjoyment.

The very pretty, talented and funny Aisha Tyler recently took the Tahoe stage. From her start on E Network’s Talk Soup and every talk show there is, two seasons on Friends, CSI, 24, and many other TV shows, movies Balls of Fury, .45, Death Sentence, Reno 911, Bedtime Stories with Adam Sandler, her book Swerve: Reckless Observations of a Postmodern Girl, Tyler’s show biz stock keeps rising higher and higher. She told me she grew up in the Bay Area and used to come to Tahoe all the time to hit the ski slopes. On stage she says, “How come when I’m biting into a delicious cheeseburger, there’s always a vegetarian or vegan person sitting next to me looking like I just bit into a baby’s leg?” Aisha is very likeable and on her way to being a big star. The legendary South Shore Room at Harrah’s is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year. Bill Harrah, the man who had the amazing vision to bring top major headlines to a small Tahoe Town, opened his now classic showroom in 1959 with the big radio, movie and TV star, Red Skelton.

Barely into the New Year and hoping it is going to be far better than this last one. That seems to be the consensus with just about everybody I have run this by with. To be honest I’m just happy to be working still. The old saying goes that if your friend is out of work then we’re in a recession but if I’m out of work then it’s a depression. Our Halloween pictorial issue was a big success once again. Thanks to Tahoe for loving Halloween parties so much and creating all the fun and excitement for me to photo-shoot (around 700 photos).
